Synopsis :
Berlin, 2015: 23-year-old Elly Jarvis comes out of the closet in the middle of a lively queer scene. At the same time in Michigan: Dixon Jarvis, her 93-year-old grandfather, comes out, alone in his house where he has spent the last 40 years. This marked the start of an e-mail correspondence that continues to this day. They talk about what it means to be queer, the loneliness of old age and much more. The film recounts their reunion over the course of a few days. Elly goes to visit Dixie at his home in Detroit. They come face to face with their generational differences. They have different expectations of their relationship. But their love, sometimes misplaced, survives thanks to an overwhelming desire to understand the other.
